Beijing Guoan midfielder Fernando has appeared in the majority of their CSL matches in 2020, making 11 appearances overall and playing 535 minutes. He has been selected in the starting XI in five of these appearances across their 20 fixtures and been used as a substitute on six occasions.

Fernando last featured in a CSL game on November 11, playing 90 minutes for Beijing Guoan versus Shanghai SIPG in a 1-1 draw. In total, he has notched three CSL goals in 2020. He has been shown three yellow cards.

Fernando last scored in the league with a brace in the 4-0 win against Shijiazhuang Ever Bright on September 28, netting in the 17th and 75th minute. He opened his account for the campaign against Qingdao Huanghai on September 22, scoring during a 5-1 victory.

In last season's CSL, Fernando featured in seven games for Beijing Guoan.

Before linking up with Beijing Guoan in February 2020, Fernando made 78 league appearances in total at Spartak Moskva, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists.
